He said this on Sunday in his eulogy at the funeral of Senior Chief Maganga.

Paramount Chief Kawinga said the late Senior Chief Maganga was a well of knowledge of the Yao culture.

“She also ruled her people with diligence. She was free from scandals, free from corruption. She was simply a woman for the people,” he said.

Senior Chief Maganga was born Mbotele Che Mnami and died on Friday. She was incapacitated for 10 years and her son ruled on her behalf.

She was also the first woman in her family to be installed chief and is survived by three children.
